Local ward officials told Tuoi Tre (Youth) online newspaper on Saturday they were working with residents to measure land and record assets tied to properties along the routes.

The projects include the Binh Duong New City-Suoi Tien Metro (Binh Duong Metro Line 1) and the Thu Dau Mot-Ho Chi Minh City Metro (Binh Duong Metro Line 2).

In Binh Duong Ward, both lines will intersect, with Line 1 ending at the A1 roundabout station and Line 2 beginning at station S5, linking to Line 1. Local officials reported strong public support for the surveys and land clearance preparations.

In Binh Hoa Ward, survey teams began visiting properties on October 6 and will continue through November 15 to measure and record land and assets.

Other wards are holding community meetings to explain the projects and encourage cooperation.

The two metro lines are listed as priority investments, with construction scheduled to start in late 2026 and finish before 2030. Preparatory work includes land surveys, geological drilling, and completion of legal procedures.

Line 1 will run about 31.6 kilometers from Binh Duong New City to Suoi Tien in Dong Hoa Ward.

Line 2 will stretch 33.2 kilometers from Thu Dau Mot to downtown Ho Chi Minh City, with 17.8 kilometers underground and the rest elevated. It will connect station S5 of Line 1 to Tao Dan station of Ho Chi Minh City’s Metro Line 2 (Ben Thanh-Tham Luong).
