Madam Pang expected at My Dinh Stadium for Vietnam-Thailand ASEAN Cup final

Madam Pang and her entourage are scheduled to arrive at Noi Bai International Airport at around noon before heading to the hotel where the Thai national team is staying.

She is expected to arrive at My Dinh Stadium shortly before the 8:00 pm kick-off.

Madam Pang has regularly accompanied Thailand’s national teams at major tournaments and important matches.

The title decider is also expected to draw senior football officials from Vietnam, Thailand, Southeast Asia, and Asia.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino is set to attend the match as well. He is slated to arrive at Noi Bai airport by private jet at around 1:30 pm.

Born in 1966, Madam Pang is a member of the prominent Lamsam business family. She became FAT president in 2024 and is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Thai football.

She has also maintained close ties with Vietnamese football and has visited Vietnam several times.

Since 2025, she has served as chair of FIFA’s Development Committee.

Vietnam hold a 2-0 advantage after beating Thailand in the first leg in Bangkok on August 22.

Coach Kim Sang Sik’s side will seek to defend their Southeast Asian title when the two teams meet again at My Dinh on Wednesday.
