The destination has drawn attention for its forest retreat model, with treehouses built around old-growth trees or on tall wooden structures tucked beneath lush canopies.
The setting offers visitors a distinctive experience of staying amid the forest, connecting with nature and viewing the surrounding landscape from above.
The treehouses are designed to blend into their natural surroundings, minimizing the sense of separation between the structures and the forest.
Instead of clearing trees to make room for construction, Mang Den Treehouse has preserved them, with some trees growing through the houses and extending above the roofs toward the sky.

In addition to its treehouses, Mang Den Treehouse offers activities including ziplining, forest canopy skywalks, trekking, cycling, camping, meditation, and reading.
The experiences are aimed at nature-loving visitors seeking a peaceful retreat while still having opportunities for exploration and outdoor activities.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the Mang Den Treehouse model combines innovative architecture, leisure, and nature-based experiences.
The treehouses have been carefully integrated into the forest landscape, creating a distinctive tourism product in Mang Den.
On August 21, 2025, the Quang Ngai administration officially recognized Mang Den Treehouse as a tourist attraction.
The destination is located at No. 1 Su Van Hanh Street, Mang Den Commune.
Its nomination for the 2026 Best Tourism Villages award is seen as an opportunity to promote Mang Den National Tourism Area's green, nature-based tourism model to domestic and international visitors.
Besides Mang Den Treehouse, four other Vietnamese destinations were nominated for the 2026 Best Tourism Villages award: Lo Village in Dak Lak Province in the Central Highlands, Cat Cat Village in Lao Cai Province in northern Vietnam, Bay Mau Coconut Forest in Da Nang City, and Huu Lien Village in Lang Son Province in the northern region.
The annual award, organized by UN Tourism, recognizes rural destinations that have developed effective tourism models linked to the preservation of traditional culture, environmental protection, community empowerment, and sustainable development.
The results are expected to be announced next quarter.
