The municipal Department of Construction has announced traffic adjustments at the intersection in preparation for the construction of Station S10 (Pham Van Bach Station), part of the Ben Thanh - Tham Luong metro line, the second of its kind in the southern metropolis.

Commuters are urged to follow alternative routes when passing through the area.

For traffic moving from Pham Van Bach Street to Cong Hoa Street via a left turn, two alternative routes are available.

Vehicles can turn right onto Truong Chinh Street, then make a U-turn at a newly designated point about 200 meters from Truong Chinh - Tay Thanh Intersection before continuing toward Cong Hoa Street.

Alternatively, drivers can make a U-turn directly at Truong Chinh - Tay Thanh Intersection.

In the opposite direction, vehicles traveling on Truong Chinh Street intending to turn left onto Pham Van Bach Street also have two options.

Drivers can make a U-turn at the newly established point near Truong Chinh - Tay Thanh Intersection, then proceed along Truong Chinh, Tran Thai Tong and Pham Van Bach Streets.

Another option is to make a U-turn at Truong Chinh - Cong Hoa Intersection, return along Truong Chinh, and then enter Pham Van Bach Street.

The department advises drivers to slow down when approaching the construction zone and to follow instructions from traffic controllers as well as posted road signs.

Metro line No. 2 linking Ben Thanh in the city center and Tham Luong in the northwest is a key urban rail project, spanning some 11.3 kilometers.

The line will feature 11 stations and run along major corridors such as Cach Mang Thang Tam and Truong Chinh, where multiple construction components are currently underway.

The city launched the construction of the second line in mid-January.

The link is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2030.

The existing Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line, the first urban railway in Ho Chi Minh City, which was put into service in late 2024, runs about 19.7 kilometers between Ben Thanh Market in the city’s central area and Suoi Tien Coach Station in Tang Nhon Phu Ward.
