The 8.14km section connects Dong Nai Province with Ho Chi Minh City via the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway.

The project includes a newly-built bridge and approach roads and is part of a broader 8.7km corridor funded with more than VND6.9 trillion (US$262.4 million).

Construction was completed on schedule, the investor said, following round-the-clock shifts to meet the deadline.

The project is among 250 infrastructure works being launched or completed nationwide this year, with total investments exceeding VND1.28 quadrillion ($48.7 billion).

The route is expected to operate as a four-lane expressway by late 2026, once other sections of Ring Road 3 are completed.

The Nhon Trach Bridge will support mixed traffic, with maximum speeds of 80 km/h for cars and 60 km/h for mixed-use lanes.
