Staksrud, 29, from Argentina, is currently ranked No. 2 in singles on the PPA Tour with 10,900 points.
Vietnamese player Phuc Huynh holds the No. 16 spot with 2,500 points.
With a background in tennis, Staksrud transitioned to pickleball in 2021 after training with professionals such as Simone Jardim and CJ Klinger.
Known for his unconventional and difficult playing style, Staksrud has claimed notable victories, including a win over Ben Johns, one of the sport’s most dominant figures.
Quang Duong, a Vietnamese-American player, has also previously fallen to Staksrud’s aggressive and tactical game.
The Legend Tour 2026 will bring together elite international athletes, Vietnamese professionals, and artists in a two-day event.
Alongside Staksrud, the line-up includes Tyra Black, ranked No. 4 in women’s doubles worldwide, as well as rising talents Eric Oncins, ranked in the top 30 on the PPA Tour, and Mya Bui.
Vietnamese representatives will also take part, including Ken Tam, Hung Anh, Sophia Phuong Anh, and Xuan Duc, who are considered among the country’s most promising young players.
During the two-day event, AP Sport in Thao Dien will host interactive activities, mini-games, and meet-and-greet sessions between international athletes and guests on January 28.
The main festival will be held on January 29 at WowSport Metropole in Thu Thiem, expected to attract more than 1,000 spectators.
Fans will enjoy exhibition matches, skill challenges, and a variety of side activities designed to promote pickleball’s growing popularity in Vietnam.
