Footage from a security camera shows two Indian students riding a motorcycle at high speed in Can Tho City, southern Vietnam.
They are medical students at the Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and stay at a rented home in Alley 66 on Nguyen Van Cu Street in An Khanh Ward, Ninh Kieu District.
According to footage from a local security camera, the incident occurred at around 6:00 am on Wednesday near Bung Xang Lake in An Khanh Ward.
The video showed a motorbike traveling at high speed with two individuals aboard.
The vehicle veered sharply across the left curb and crashed into the wall of a nearby residence.
The crash resulted in the immediate death of Asrid Asrith, while Subash Harish sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Can Tho Central General Hospital.
Doctors at the hospital later confirmed that Harish had suffered an open fracture of the lower femur and underwent emergency surgery.
