The Portuguese team's victory brought the six-night 2026 DIFF to a close, with organizers calling this year’s festival one of the most technically impressive and most attended since its inception.
Macedos Pirotecnia impressed judges with a highly emotional performance that combined storytelling through light and music.
Effects such as cascading lights, comets, spherical bursts, candle-style fireworks, and continuous sprays created dramatic climaxes over the Han River.

Meanwhile, China’s team delivered a memorable show, blending ten songs, including three Vietnamese tracks, with layered effects and a fireworks recreation of Da Nang’s iconic bridge.
Both performances drew thunderous applause from tens of thousands of spectators.
