2 teenagers electrocuted, 3 injured while cleaning water tank at northern Vietnam bar

At around 1:00 am, five staff members were cleaning a water tank in front of the main stage of the beachfront bar in Bai Chay Ward when they were suddenly electrocuted, eyewitnesses said.

Other employees quickly cut the power and pulled the victims out before calling emergency services.

Paramedics attempted resuscitation for about 30 minutes, but two of the staff members, T.Q.T. and T.D.H, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both of them were born in 2008 and residing in Duong Huy Ward, Cam Pha City.

The other three workers, including N.T.D., 16; N.C.N., 17;, and D.K.C., 17, regained consciousness and are receiving treatment at Bai Chay Hospital.

Authorities are currently investigating the root cause of the incident.
