They were welcomed at Noi Bai International Airport by Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Nguyen Hung Tam.
The visit comes as bilateral ties continue to strengthen, following the upgrade of relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership in March 2024.
According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam and Australia now maintain more than 20 cooperation mechanisms.
These include regular meetings between prime ministers, foreign and defense ministers, and the Economic Partnership Conference.

In the first seven months of 2025, trade between the two countries totaled $7.9 billion.
Australia is Vietnam's seventh-largest trading partner, while Vietnam ranks as Australia's tenth-largest.
Cooperation in defense and security has also grown, with a UN peacekeeping partnership launched in March 2024.
Ties in education, science, and technology continue to expand as well.
During her visit, Governor-General Mostyn will meet with senior Vietnamese leaders to discuss shared priorities such as trade, investment, climate response, education, and security.
She is expected to attend the opening of the Vietnam-Australia Forum 2025, meet with Vietnam's UN peacekeeping forces, and inaugurate the Australia-Vietnam Policy Institute in Hanoi.
Her itinerary also includes a visit to Ho Chi Minh City for community and educational activities.
