-- High-level delegations from the Ministries of National Defense of Vietnam and Laos held talks in Nghe An Province, north-central Vietnam on Friday, as part of the third Vietnam - Laos Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

Society

-- Da Nang City has approved an investment plan to develop a social housing project worth more than VND1.6 trillion (US$61 million) in Ngu Hanh Son Ward, with about 728 apartments.

Ho Chi Minh City

-- Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc has urged Ho Chi Minh City to work with the Ministry of Construction to develop an appropriate plan and roadmap for relocating seaports out of the city center to ease traffic congestion and promote environmental sustainability.

-- International visitors, particularly those spending extended stays in Ho Chi Minh City, have shown their appreciation for the city’s free bus service and the friendliness of its staff.

-- An additional 13 sets of martyrs’ remains and eight sets of artifacts were discovered at Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday, bringing the total number of recovered remains to 29 sets.

-- Agribank is offering VND15 trillion ($575 million) worth of bonds to the public to strengthen its medium- and long-term funding for lending activities while expanding investment options for customers.

-- The prime minister has issued a directive on the reorganization of public preschool, general education, continuing education, and vocational education institutions at the provincial and commune levels to align with Vietnam’s two-tier administration model.
