-- Nearly 100 firefighters and many fire trucks were dispatched to several forest areas to extinguish fires in Thanh Hoa Province, north-central Vietnam on Wednesday amid temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius.

-- The government has issued a decree on flight operations, introducing enforcement measures against aircraft that violate Vietnamese airspace, including interception and escort flights, as well as the deployment of military aircraft to compel the offending aircraft to land.
