-- The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has launched a 100-day campaign to actively screen high-risk and latent tuberculosis cases, as official data show Vietnam’s detection rates of about 105.4 cases per 100,000 people, compared with an estimated true incidence of around 182 cases per 100,000 annually, based on epidemiological studies.
-- Officials in Ho Chi Minh City said on Tuesday the city, which has more than 1.5 million residents aged 60 and above, plans to develop specialized geriatric hospitals to address rapid population aging.

-- Kim Long Motor Hue JSC on Tuesday inaugurated a truck manufacturing plant in Chan May–Lang Co Economic Zone in Hue City, built on a six-hectare site at a cost of more than VND900 billion (US$34.2 million).
-- Vietnam’s labor market is accelerating in the second quarter, with a net employment outlook of 47 percent, well above the global average of 31 percent and the Asia-Pacific and Middle East average of 38 percent, ranking it among the four most optimistic markets worldwide, according to a survey by ManpowerGroup. The acceleration comes amid the wider adoption of artificial intelligence prompting firms to both increase hiring and cut some traditional roles,
