Organized annually by Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper in collaboration with the Payment Systems Department under the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, and the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), the event is expected to foster a comprehensive digital finance ecosystem in which residents can access modern financial services conveniently and safely.
The two-day event will officially open at 7:30 am on Saturday with a seminar titled ‘Smart Payments in the Digital Era’ at Rex Hotel.
As Vietnam’s first large-scale digital finance event held in a public space, the Digital Finance Day 2026 program is expected to attract up to 120,000 visitors.
The event will provide residents with diverse digital finance options while creating opportunities for direct engagement with emerging financial technologies.
Also, visitors will be able to receive gifts and learn about or register for a variety of digital financial services offered by participating tech providers.
The event is envisioned as a miniature model of an inclusive digital finance society, allowing the public to experience first-hand the payment technologies of the future.
The venue will feature several interactive zones.
The Payment Zone will showcase smart payment solutions and cross-border payment technologies through a range of innovative products and services.
The Finance Square zone will serve as a digital finance experience area, offering visitors access to financial information and guidance.
One of the highlights will be the Safe Wall, developed by the Ministry of Public Security.
The exhibit will educate visitors on secure digital transactions through simulations of hi-tech fraud schemes, scam phone calls, and AI-generated deepfake videos.
The initiative aims to equip the public with the knowledge needed to identify online scams and protect themselves from financial fraud conducted through digital channels.
The Fintech Zone will introduce a broad ecosystem of digital financial products and services, providing information on modern financial technologies alongside promotional activities and giveaways from participating organizations.
