Falling tree injures 2 near Hanoi’s West Lake
Two people were seriously injured on Tuesday afternoon when a large tree collapsed in Ly Tu Trong Park, located beside Hanoi’s iconic West Lake.

A representative of the Tay Ho Ward administration told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the accident occurred around 4:00 pm, when the tree suddenly broke and fell, striking the victims.
Emergency responders quickly transported them to Saint Paul General Hospital for treatment.
Their identities are still being verified.
Officials said they are monitoring the patients’ condition and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
Witnesses reported that the tree was large with a wide canopy and dense branches.
The trunk nearly toppled completely, leaving broken limbs scattered across the park grounds.
Local authorities said they will continue investigating the incident.
