The companies received their membership certificates at a ceremony held during the Autumn Economic Forum 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday morning.

The certificates were presented by Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee chairman Nguyen Van Duoc and vice-chairman Truong Minh Huy Vu, who also heads the VIFC-HCMC executive agency, in the presence of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung.

The companies operate in sectors ranging from finance and investment to urban development, maritime services, energy, technology, and payment services.

Among the largest commitments, Saigon Marina IFC Co., Ltd. plans to raise $816 million to develop physical and technological infrastructure for the financial center.

EQuest Capital Co., Ltd. has pledged to mobilize up to $325 million for educational infrastructure, particularly a university and innovation hub in southwestern Ho Chi Minh City.

Son Kim Capital IFC Co., Ltd. plans to raise $275 million through a self-managed private investment company model to finance infrastructure projects within VIFC-HCMC.

Meanwhile, AG&P Vietnam Holding Company Limited expects to mobilize $750 million to $1 billion during 2027-30 for projects involving liquefied natural gas (LNG), electricity, and data centers.

The remaining six members are VinaCapital International Partners, Gemadept Holdings, REE Energy Finance, Rovela Pay, IFC Vietnam Commodity Exchange Joint Stock Company, and Keppel Asset Management (Vietnam) Co., Ltd.

Their participation is expected to help establish an ecosystem of financial and investment services, facilitate access to international capital, and attract funding for development projects in Ho Chi Minh City and across Vietnam.

The announcement comes as Ho Chi Minh City seeks to strengthen its position on the global financial map.

According to the Global Financial Centers Index 40 (GFCI 40), released in September 2026, Ho Chi Minh City ranked 67th worldwide with 692 points, climbing 17 places and gaining 27 points from the previous edition.

The city is pushing ahead with the development of VIFC-HCMC, introducing new financial products and seeking to attract more domestic and international investors and financial institutions
