Overnight rainfall caused river levels to rise sharply, with upstream water from the Buong River flowing into residential areas in An Vien Commune and Phuoc Tan Ward, according to local officials.
Homes, farmland, and livestock were reported damaged.
In Phuoc Tan, water submerged local roads and entered some 100 homes.
Flooding in some areas reached depths of over half a meter, forcing residents to use alternate routes to avoid submerged streets.
"This time the water rose quickly while my family was away, and many of our belongings were soaked," said a Phuoc Tan resident.

Local authorities attributed the flooding to a combination of high upstream flow and rising tidal levels downstream in the Dong Nai River, which they said had slowed water drainage.
Emergency personnel installed barricades at deeply-flooded locations and patrolled affected areas to assist residents in moving out of dangerous zones.
In nearby An Vien Commune, at least 10 homes were flooded, with water levels in some reaching waist height.
Several families lost household items, crops, and livestock to the floodwaters.

Additional flooding was reported in parts of Binh An Commune, where local military units were deployed to help relocate people and protect property.
The Buong River, which runs 56 kilometers through Dong Nai, originates in old Long Khanh City and flows into the Dong Nai River.
Authorities cautioned that further rain could lead to additional flooding, landslides, and erosion along riverbanks and in low-lying areas.
