Matri recently traveled to Vietnam with his family, with Hanoi among their stops.
After posting a series of photos from the trip on social media, the former Italian striker received a warm welcome from Vietnamese fans.
His post featured a short caption, “Hanoi… impegnativa!!!” along with several playful emojis.
Matri arrived in Hanoi during a period of hot weather in northern Vietnam, which posed a challenge during his trip.
Despite the heat, he visited several well-known attractions, including the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the trackside café street, and sampled bun cha (rice noodles with grilled pork and pork patties), a popular Vietnamese dish.
