Heavy rain floods roads, disrupts traffic in Vietnam’s Nha Trang
Torrential rain early Thursday caused flooding on several major roads in the coastal tourism hub of Nha Trang under Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam, disrupting traffic and damaging vehicles.

Rain began around 1:00 am and continued into the morning, with the northern part of Nha Trang among the worst-affected areas.
Streets including Phan Boi Chau, Hon Chong, Pham Van Dong, and 23 Thang 10 were inundated.

Several vehicles stalled in floodwaters and motorists were forced to use sidewalks to navigate deep water at key intersections, including Pham Van Dong and Cao Van Be.
Vietnam’s National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said rainfall reached 20 to 40 millimeters between 4:00 am and 7:00 am, with some areas receiving more than 60 millimeters.
Authorities warned of potential flash floods and landslides over the next six hours in mountainous areas of Khanh Hoa Province, including parts of Nha Trang and nearby wards and communes.
