Duoc highlighted the strong momentum in Vietnam-Germany relations, noting that German companies have long invested effectively in Ho Chi Minh City and contributed to the city’s socio-economic growth.

He said the inauguration of the Deutsches Haus (German House) in the city stands as a symbol of the close partnership between the two sides.

Duoc expressed hope that Suhl, in her new term, will continue promoting cooperation in areas where Germany excels such as railway technology, precision engineering, and pharmaceuticals.

He also encouraged more German companies to explore investment opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City as the city accelerates industrialization and modernization.

She said Germany plans to coordinate with the city on upcoming events, including the Germany-Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum, an art exhibition at the Deutsches Haus, and a seminar on urban water management.

Education remains a key focus, Suhl noted, adding that both sides aim to advance the Vietnam-Germany University project to train high-quality graduates aligned with the city’s development priorities, including its international financial center.

On infrastructure, Suhl said Germany is ready to share its expertise in railway development, particularly for the North-South rail project.
