Data from online travel platform Traveloka showed that BigBang’s October concerts have driven domestic travel searches to more than four times their usual level.
Le Kim Thu, director of sales and marketing at Mövenpick Living West Hanoi, said bookings had surged during the concert period, with most guests staying specifically to attend the shows.
Many fans reserved rooms two to three weeks in advance, while the hotel also recorded a sharp increase in visitors from Southeast Asian countries.
Thu said young fans are increasingly willing to spend heavily on overseas trips to see their favorite artists perform, whether in Singapore, Thailand, or Europe.
She added that Hanoi's growing appeal as a destination for international concerts, including performances by BlackPink and BigBang, presents an opportunity to attract foreign tourists and promote the city.
At Sheraton Hanoi West, just 500 meters from My Dinh National Stadium, fans began inquiring about rooms as soon as the concerts were announced.
Bui Ha Linh, the hotel's director of marketing and communications, said bookings picked up after the venue was revealed and surged when tickets went on sale.
By late August, the hotel was nearly fully booked. Rooms for both October 24 and 25 are now sold out.
The hotel has also seen more visitors combining concerts with sightseeing, with many extending their stays by one or two days to explore Hanoi.
Even its sky bar overlooking My Dinh National Stadium has become a sought-after spot among fans.
The hotel also reported increased bookings from China and Southeast Asian countries.
The upcoming concerts mark BigBang's first official tour performances in Vietnam, 20 years after the South Korean group debuted.
They are part of the band's first world tour as a group in nine years, celebrating two decades of one of K-pop's most influential acts.
The Hanoi shows will feature G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, whose reunion has been eagerly anticipated by fans.
Titled XX: Cosmos, BigBang's 2026-27 world tour is expected to cover 19 cities with 33 performances.
Hanoi is the only Southeast Asian city selected to host two consecutive shows.
