A flower trader in Vinh Long Province, Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, has turned in a lost backpack containing a Rolex watch, jewelry, and personal papers to police for return to its owner.

Police in the province's Cho Lach Commune said on Sunday that Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong, a local woman who owns a flower shop, brought the backpack to officers immediately after she found it at around 9:00 am on Saturday.

The backpack contained several valuable items, including a Rolex watch, rings and other jewelry, and personal identification documents.

After receiving Phuong’s report, police identified the owner as L.K.D., 23, from Phu Phung Commune in the same province.

D. said he had been riding a motorbike with a friend from Ho Chi Minh City back to his hometown in Vinh Long for a visit when he unknowingly dropped the backpack along the way.

After getting his belongings back, he expressed his gratitude to Phuong for her kindness and to the Cho Lach Commune police for their prompt response.
