Pham Thi Thanh Hoa, a forecaster with the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that most parts of the country will remain sunny with little rain through Wednesday.

Daytime highs could exceed 35 degrees Celsius in some areas, except for the Central Highlands and southern provinces, which will continue to see scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoons and evenings.

Starting Wednesday night, a cold front from the east will affect northern provinces and cities.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected, with daytime temperatures dropping by 2-4 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday compared to current levels.

A stronger cold-air surge is likely to arrive from Sunday night into next Monday, increasing rainfall across northern Vietnam and the north-central provinces of Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh.

Some areas could experience heavy rain, while temperatures are expected to fall further.

From Monday night, the rain is forecast to shift southward to areas from Quang Tri Province to Da Nang City and eastern Quang Ngai Province.

According to the national weather agency, most regions across the country will possibly see scattered showers and thunderstorms until Thursday next week.

It warned of whirlwinds, lightning, hail, and strong gusts during thunderstorms.
