The serious crash occurred at around dawn in Lam Dong Province.
According to initial information, the coach, driven by Doan Minh Quang, 42, from Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam, was traveling south on the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay Expressway.
When it reached the location, the coach crashed into the back of a truck driven by Bui Thanh Trung, 39, from Dak Lak Province in the Central Highlands, which was parked in the emergency lane.
A 38-year-old Russian woman, identified as G.A., who was traveling on the coach, died at the scene.
Another Russian passenger, a 43-year-old man identified as Z.O., was injured.

Rapid alcohol and drug tests conducted on both drivers found no signs of violations.
Lam Dong police and prosecutors examined the crash site and the victim's body as part of an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 under the Ministry of Public Security's Traffic Police Department regulated traffic around the crash site.
