According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the Vietnamese capital is expected to experience extremely heavy rainfall from Sunday night through Tuesday due to the storm’s impact.

Therefore, the department instructed all schools to suspend in-person classes and shift to remote teaching on Monday.

Schools are also required to closely monitor weather updates in the coming days to make timely adjustments to teaching and learning schedules.

On Saturday, Tran Sy Thanh, chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, signed a dispatch requiring all departments and local authorities to implement storm-response measures to ensure public safety and protect property.

The dispatch also tasked the municipal Department of Education and Training with reviewing safety plans for teachers and students and allowing schools to close when necessary.

Additionally, Hanoi has encouraged public agencies and businesses to let officials, employees, and workers work remotely on Monday if weather conditions worsen.
