Vietnam police probe video of foreign tourist riding on moving car hood in Nha Trang

The footage, widely shared on TikTok, appears to show a car with a local license plate traveling along Tran Phu Street while the woman sits on the front hood.

Police said they are working to identify the vehicle and those involved.

The video has drawn criticism online, with users raising concerns about road safety and calling for authorities to take action.

Earlier, the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province instructed relevant departments, agencies and local authorities to strengthen coordination in managing and handling cases involving foreign nationals in the area.

Under the directive, provincial police were assigned to take the lead, in coordination with relevant agencies, to study and propose measures to tighten inspection and control of foreigners’ entry, exit and residence, and to establish procedures for receiving reports, verifying cases, handling violations, and carrying out deportations.
