At 8:33 am, local authorities received a report of an incident on An Thuong 3 Street in Ngu Hanh Son Ward involving a 65-year-old man, identified as S.A.G., a U.S. citizen who had fallen while using the bathroom and was unable to get back up.

A rescue team from the Firefighting and Rescue Unit No. 3 was quickly dispatched to the scene, working in collaboration with local police and medical personnel.

The bathroom’s confined space, combined with the man’s weight and limited mobility, made access difficult and increased the risk of injury during extraction.

Specialized equipment was brought in, and a coordinated strategy was developed before the extraction.

After nearly three hours of effort, the team successfully removed the man from the bathroom at around 11:10 am.

He was then handed over to medical workers for a medical check-up and care.

The man is reported to be some 1.8 meters tall and weighs close to 300 kilograms.
