Vietnam police verify video of Chinese man jumping from moving car after argument

Authorities said the incident was reported to have occurred late Tuesday on Le Duan Street in former Buon Ma Thuot City, when the couple was traveling by car and a dispute broke out.

A video circulating online shows the pair arguing in Chinese before the man opens the rear passenger door and jumps onto the road while the vehicle is still moving.

The footage then shows the woman closing the door and telling the driver to continue driving.

Local accounts said the man was subsequently struck by a motorcycle traveling behind the car and was taken to hospital with injuries.

Police said no parties involved had filed a formal report and that information so far is based on unverified online footage, making it unclear what exactly occurred or the actions of those involved.

Authorities said they are continuing to investigate and will handle the case in accordance with the law once sufficient evidence is established.
