Vietnam qualify for 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup with perfect group stage record

Goals from Nguyen Da Hai, Nguyen Manh Dung, Tu Minh Quang, and Vu Ngoc Anh gave Vietnam their third straight win, having already beaten Hong Kong 9-1 and China 7-2.

Vietnam, ranked 26th in the world, needed a draw or win to top the group and secure direct qualification.

Lebanon, ranked 54th, had entered the final match with four points and will now wait to see if they advance as one of the seven best second-placed teams.

Da Hai opened the scoring in the ninth minute, and Manh Dung doubled the lead almost immediately after the restart.

Minh Quang made it 3-0 in the 11th minute after a pass from Ngoc Anh.

Lebanon created several chances early in the second half but could not convert.

Their hopes faded when Hassan Alme was sent off in the 25th minute after receiving a second yellow card.

Vietnam scored a fourth through Ngoc Anh shortly after.

Vietnam, coached by Diego Giustozzi, finished the group with nine points and a goal difference of +17.

The 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup will feature 16 teams and is scheduled to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia from January 27 to February 7.
