Vietnam Lottery Company (Vietlott) presented the Jackpot 1 prize in its Power 6/55 lottery to T.V., a self-employed resident of An Giang, on Friday.
The winning ticket was drawn in the 1,415th draw.
After checking its system data and the winner's personal documents, Vietlott confirmed that T.V. was the owner of the winning ticket.
He had purchased it through the company's mobile distribution channel using an application supporting the Vietlott SMS service.
Under regulations, T.V. is required to pay personal income tax in An Giang, where he registered to participate in the lottery.

The tax amounts to more than VND19.99 billion ($760,000), equivalent to 10 percent of the prize value exceeding VND20 million ($781.5). The tax was deducted directly from the prize money upon payment.
At the award ceremony, T.V. said he had not yet decided how to use the money because of the enormous amount involved. He would discuss with his family how best to use the money.
He also donated VND5 billion ($195,266) to social welfare activities, hoping to share some of his good fortune with people facing greater difficulties.
Earlier, on October 12, Vietlott presented a nearly VND200 billion ($7.6 billion) Jackpot prize in its Mega 6/45 lottery to a woman, also from An Giang.
According to Vietlott, this was the largest jackpot ever awarded in the Mega 6/45 lottery's 10-year history.
