Senior Lieutenant Colonel Dao Xuan Truong, chief of Nha Trang Ward Police, on Friday told Tuoi Tre (Youth) online newspaper that officers were investigating the incident, which reportedly occurred after the man asked a younger man to stop honking his motorcycle horn.

The same day, a Facebook post by a user identified as Q.T.D. circulated on social media.

D. said he was having a drink at a coffee shop in Nha Trang Ward when a young man nearby repeatedly honked his motorcycle horn while sitting on the vehicle.

D. said he asked the man to stop the noise. The two then argued, and the young man allegedly hit him, leaving his head bleeding.

The post and videos of the incident have attracted widespread attention on local social media.

Many users expressed outrage over the young man's behavior and called on authorities to clarify the case and take appropriate action.

Tuoi Tre’s reporters contacted the young man involved in the incident on the same day but had not received a response.

The head of Nha Trang Ward Police said officers had asked the people involved to come to the police station to work on the case and would handle the case strictly in accordance with the law.
