The Vietnamese player controlled the match from the start with several long scoring runs.
Caudron, one of the most decorated cueists in three-cushion billiards, struggled to find his rhythm and spent long periods watching from his seat.
The loss extended Caudron’s recent run of defeats against Chien, who has now beaten the Belgian in their last five meetings.
Their previous final encounter came at the 2024 Veghel World Cup in the Netherlands, where Chien also claimed victory.
