From major city landmarks to local celebration spots, fireworks will go off at different locations in Vietnam on Wednesday.
Here is a roundup of the places to watch, along with the key details for each display.
Ho Chi Minh City will light up the sky at seven locations on National Day, with fireworks displays scheduled for 15 minutes, from 9:00 pm to 9:15 pm, according to a decision issued by the municipal People's Committee on August 10.
The displays will take place at the Saigon River Tunnel entrance in An Khanh Ward, the New City Center in Binh Duong Ward, Tam Thang Tower Square in Vung Tau Ward, Ba Ria Square Park in Ba Ria Ward, Dam Sen Cultural Park in Binh Thoi Ward, Saigon Marina IFC Tower in Saigon Ward, and the Kim Long Villa area near Rach Dia Bridge in Nha Be Commune.
Three of the locations, including the Saigon River Tunnel entrance, New City Center and Tam Thang Tower Square, will feature both high- and low-altitude fireworks, while the remaining four locations will host low-altitude displays.
The Saigon River Tunnel entrance will be the centerpiece of the celebrations, with the largest display featuring 1,000 high-altitude fireworks, 200 low-altitude fireworks, and dozens of modern special-effect launchers.
At Tam Thang Tower Square in Vung Tau Ward, the display will feature 420 high-altitude fireworks, 80 low-altitude fireworks, and 60 low-altitude launchers.
A separate display is also planned at Sun World Vung Tau Water Park in Phuoc Thang Ward, with the same quantities of fireworks.
The city will also host art performances, exhibitions, and sporting events in central areas as part of the National Day celebrations.
Hanoi will stage fireworks at four locations, comprising five firing sites, on Wednesday, according to a plan issued by the municipal People's Committee on August 22.
The displays will combine high- and low-altitude fireworks and run for 15 minutes, from 9:00 pm to 9:15 pm.
The five firing sites are located in the area in front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper headquarters and the Hanoi Post Office, both in Hoan Kiem Ward; Dua Island in Thong Nhat Park, Hai Ba Trung Ward; the F1 racetrack at the National Sports Complex in Tu Liem Ward; and Lac Long Quan Flower Garden in Tay Ho Ward.
The two firing sites in Hoan Kiem Ward will each use 800 high-altitude fireworks and 60 low-altitude launchers, while the three sites in Hai Ba Trung, Tu Liem, and Tay Ho Wards will each use 700 high-altitude fireworks and 90 low-altitude launchers.
Altogether, the capital will deploy 3,700 high-altitude fireworks and 390 low-altitude launchers.
The fireworks are part of a broader National Day program in Hanoi, with cultural and artistic performances, sports activities, and tourism events also planned around the capital during the celebrations.
Quang Ninh will stage a special artistic fireworks display in the Lighthouse area on Ky Quan Road in Bai Chay Ward on National Day, as part of the province's National Day celebrations.
The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:45 pm and last 10 minutes, with the display taking place at the same site as the 'Prosperous Port' show, a 3D-mapping, music and lighting performance that starts at 9:00 pm.
The Lighthouse area is located within Sun Porto Town and Sun Elite City in Bai Chay Ward, near the VUI-Fest Ha Long night market and facing Ha Long Bay.
For those planning to watch the fireworks, the 9:45 pm display is the only fireworks session currently scheduled for that night.
This differs from the preceding days, when fireworks are scheduled at both 8:45 pm and 9:45 pm from August 29 to September 1.
The fireworks form part of Quang Ninh's 'Quang Ninh - Welcome to the New City' tourism promotion week, which combines National Day celebrations with a broader program of cultural and entertainment activities.
Hai Phong will stage artistic fireworks combined with low-altitude fireworks at the Central Bay of Cat Ba in Cat Hai Special Zone during the National Day vacation.
The fireworks will begin at 9:45 pm and last no more than 15 minutes, with the display open to residents and visitors free of charge.
The show is part of a four-night fireworks series at the Central Bay, with additional displays scheduled for 9:45 pm on Tuesday.
The fireworks are part of a broader program to develop night-time tourism in Cat Ba, with the Central Bay area featuring the VUI-Fest Cat Ba creative night market as well as dining, entertainment, and cultural activities.
The fireworks program has been organized through private funding in coordination with Hai Phong authorities and is tied to the city's efforts to promote Cat Ba as a tourism destination.
Ninh Binh will stage a low-altitude fireworks display in the area on the western bank of the lake near the People's Committee in Hai Hau Commune.
The display is scheduled for 8:00 pm on Tuesday and will last no more than 15 minutes, featuring 80 low-altitude fireworks launchers.
The display is part of the local celebrations marking the 81st anniversary of Vietnam's August Revolution and National Day.
The event will be organized by Hai Hau Commune with funding raised through private contributions rather than the state budget.
Ca Mau will stage fireworks at the Happy Home Urban Area Square in Tan Thanh Ward as part of an artistic program marking the 81st anniversary of Vietnam's National Day.
The fireworks are scheduled for 7:00 pm on Tuesday, with the display taking place as part of the program 'From the Historic Autumn to Ca Mau's Aspirations.'

Dong Nai will stage high- and low-altitude fireworks at two locations on Wednesday: along the Dong Nai River in Tran Bien Ward and in Dai Phuoc Commune.
Both displays will begin at 9:00 pm and last around 15 minutes.
Each location will feature 500 high-altitude fireworks and 100 low-altitude launchers, with the displays funded through private contributions.
