The two models are part of Yamaha's plan to expand its electric vehicle lineup and cater to everyday urban commuting needs.
Although the two scooters have just debuted in the European market, they could also be launched in Vietnam as both models have been manufactured there, Yamaha said.
The NMAX E and XENTER E have different designs and are intended for different riding needs.
The NMAX E is positioned as a premium sporty electric scooter for the global market, inheriting design characteristics from the gasoline-powered NMAX lineup, which is already familiar to Vietnamese consumers.
It is equipped with a compact eAxle electric drive system and a fixed 3.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a range of 104 kilometers on a single charge under the World Motorcycle Test Cycle standard.

Its integrated charger is compatible with household power outlets and public charging stations for electric cars.
The NMAX E features a new backbone frame, with the battery and motor positioned near the center to optimize weight distribution and lower the center of gravity.
Its equipment includes three riding modes – S, T and E – a 5-inch TFT display and connectivity through the Yamaha Motor On app, which provides navigation and allows riders to track the scooter's location, distance traveled and remaining battery charge.
The scooter also comes with a reverse function, a spacious footboard and underseat storage that can accommodate a full-face helmet, depending on its size.

Meanwhile, the XENTER E features a large-wheel scooter design, with 16-inch wheels at both the front and rear, aimed at providing stable and comfortable riding on uneven roads.
It uses a dedicated underbone frame, combined with the same eAxle electric drive system and 3.5 kWh battery as the NMAX E.
The XENTER E offers a range of 108 kilometers under the WMTC standard, 4 kilometers farther than the NMAX E.
Its equipment is largely similar to that of the NMAX E, including three riding modes – S, T and E – a 5-inch TFT display, Yamaha Motor On connectivity, a reverse function, a spacious footboard and underseat storage that can accommodate a full-face helmet, depending on its size.
The XENTER E can also use public charging stations designed for electric cars.
