Vietnam Airlines announced that several routes were adjusted to avoid the storm.
The national flag carrier's flight VN580 from Ho Chi Minh City to Taiwan's Kaohsiung was rescheduled to 3:00 am on Wednesday, while flight VN586 from Hanoi to Kaohsiung was moved to 3:15 am the same day.
Flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Hong Kong and Guangzhou were canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Departures from and arrivals at Hai Phong's Cat Bi Airport will be rescheduled before 11:00 am on Wednesday.
Low cost airline Vietjet also suspended four flights on Tuesday, including services between Da Nang and Macau and between Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong.
Vietjet plans to halt ten more flights on Thursday from Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, and Da Nang to Hong Kong and Macau, with ripple effects expected on other routes.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam warned that several northern and north-central airports, including Noi Bai, Van Don, Cat Bi, Tho Xuan, Vinh, and Dong Hoi, could be affected by Ragasa.
Airlines were instructed to prepare contingency measures to ensure safety.
Vietnam Airlines advised passengers to keep seat belts fastened throughout flights, even when the seat belt sign is off, as turbulence may occur due to the storm.
Flight times may continue to be adjusted depending on weather conditions, with updates provided through official channels and passenger contacts.
