HCMC – A coach transporting a group of alumni for a reunion trip in Quang Binh Province skidded off the road and overturned this morning, July 26, leaving at least nine people dead and many others injured, said a local official.
The accident occurred at around 10:50 a.m. on the Ho Chi Minh Road section passing through the central province’s Bo Trach District, while the 45-seater coach was heading toward Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, according to Tran Quang Vu, chairman of the province’s Bo Trach District. Local rescue forces were dispatched to the scene of the accident to make rescue efforts and cope with the aftermath. The provincial police were working to determine the cause of the accident. Also, they would check whether the driver had abused alcohol or drugs.
