HCMC – The 19th patient, the most critically ill Covid-19 patient at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Covid-19was released from the hospital on June 3, while on the same day, four more patients made a full recovery.

The 64-year-old woman flew back to HCMC after 82 days of the treatment at the Hanoi-based hospital. During her treatment, she also suffered cardiac arrest three times. After leaving the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, she will visit Cho Ray Hospital to receive treatment for cardiac disease. The patient, an aunt of the country’s 17th case, who marked the start of the second coronavirus wave in Vietnam, was sent to the hospital on March 6. Besides this, four patients were declared free of Covid-19 by the Thai Binh General Hospital on June 3, according to the national steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control. The two male patients, tagged as the 305th and 309th, have tested negative for the virus two or three times. The two, aged at 36 and 30 years, are no longer presenting symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath. They were hospitalized on May 15. Two other patients, confirmed as the 317th and 318th, were taken to the hospital on May 16. The 29-year-old female patient’s negative test results came out on May 30 and June 2, while the 41-year-old woman has tested negative three times. The four will continue to be quarantined and monitored for the next 14 days. Vietnam has seen 302 patients out of the total 328 confirmed cases recover from the Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, to date, VietnamPlus news site reported.
