HCMC – HCMC will not proceed with the previously announced drone light show featuring 10,500 drones on the evening of May 1, according to the city’s Department of Culture and Sports.

Originally scheduled for tonight, the drone performance was moved up to April 30. However, the show was halted due to signal interference. The large-scale show, billed as the biggest of its kind ever held in the city, had a successful rehearsal on April 28 and attracted widespread public interest. The drone display was among the highlight events commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the reunification of the nation (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025). Preparations for the show had begun well in advance to ensure technical readiness.
