HCMC – UNESCO has officially designated Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park as a World Biosphere Reserve, marking a significant milestone in Vietnam’s efforts to combine biodiversity conservation with sustainable development and strengthening the country’s role in global heritage governance.

HCMC – A national concert will be held in HCMC on August 21, with free admission.
The city government has approved a proposal by Nhan Dan newspaper to organize the concert at Van Phuc City Urban Area in Hiep Binh Ward. According to organizers of the “National Concert: The Fatherland in our hearts”, the event is expected to become a major cultural event aimed at promoting patriotism, national pride, and aspirations for national development. The city’s Department of Culture and Sports has been tasked with overseeing plans related to security, traffic management, fire prevention, medical services, electrical safety, environmental sanitation, and emergency evacuation. Organizers said the concert will feature three themed chapters combining music, visual effects, and modern performance art. A similar event took place at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi City in August 2025.
