HCMC – Four Vietnamese citizens returning home from France have been confirmed to be infected with Covid-19, sending the country’s total infections to 1,173 as of today, October 29, said the Health Ministry.

The four fresh patients, including one woman and three men, were taken to a quarantine facility in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau after they arrived at HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat airport on October 21 on Flight VN5010. They are now under treatment at Long Dien District Medical Center in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Earlier, seven passengers boarding this flight had been confirmed as positive for Covid-19 and were also put in quarantine in the province. Among the nation’s tally, up to 1,062 cases have fully recovered while 35 others have died of the infectious respiratory disease.
