Vietnam, Algeria eye stronger trade in farm produce

HCMC – Vietnam and Algeria are seeking to strengthen direct business links to expand trade in agricultural products and reduce intermediary costs, Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh told businesses and officials in Algeria's Skikda Province.

HCMC - The Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition 2024 (VILOG 2024) has been inaugurated in HCMC, with more than 300 businesses attending.
Running from August 1 to 3 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, the event features key players, innovators, and stakeholders under the theme "Green Logistics - the Foundation for Sustainable Development." There are over 400 display booths of 20 countries and territories such as the United States, Germany, Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea, and Australia. Transport & Forwarding, Warehouse and Cold Chain, Material Handling, Logistics I.T. and Applications, and Industrial Zone and Port Infrastructure are among the prominent fields in the logistics sector featured at the event. The exhibition is being co-organized by the Vietnam Logistics Business Association and Vinexad Company, and endorsed by the Agency of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is expected to attract a total of 25,000 visitors.
