HCMC - Am Dang Typhoon Restaurant in District 1, HCMC has got the Thai SELECT Signature Award from the Royal Thai government for its authentic Thai cuisine.

The award ceremony was held yesterday, April 26, with the participation of Keerati Rushchano, permanent secretary of the Thai Ministry of Commerce, and a delegation from the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Thai National Shippers’ Council.

Representatives from the consulate generals of Southeast Asian countries in HCMC also attended the event.

Thai SELECT Signature, part of the Thai SELECT program, is given to restaurants that serve authentic Thai food with “premium quality, refined decoration and excellent service”, according to DITP.

The program includes a range of certifications granted Thai ready-to-eat products and restaurants in Thailand and across the world, including signature, unique, classic and casual awards.

Am Dang Typhoon Vietnam, managed by HCMC-based Hylo Management Corp, offers high-quality traditional Thai food with many ingredients imported from Thailand.

The restaurant plans to expand its customer base in HCMC and launch operations in other major cities in the nation.

Vietnam has over 10 restaurants winning the Thai SELECT awards, mostly in Hanoi, HCMC and Danang.
