HCMC - Consumers in Vietnam now have the option of using MoMo for cashless payments on the Grab mobile app, according to a recent announcement by local fintech startup MoMo and Grab Vietnam.
Customers who make payments on the Grab app can access and manage their funds from various sources on the MoMo platform, including e-wallet, bank accounts and the Pay Later service. The effort is expected to provide customers with a secure, cashless payment experience.
With the addition of Grab Vietnam as a partner, MoMo is now available on some of the most popular platforms serving the daily needs of Vietnamese users, including transportation, entertainment, shopping, insurance and public service.
For Grab, this move has further expanded the diverse portfolio of cashless payment solutions on its app, thereby maximizing convenience for local users.
Nguyen Manh Tuong, executive vice chairman and CEO of MoMo, said, “The team-up of Grab and MoMo brings in a comprehensive digital experience for local consumers.” He expressed hope that the partnership would help both companies leverage opportunities and create greater values for users and business partners.
On this occasion, customers who choose MoMo for payments on the Grab app will have the chance to receive benefits worth up to VND100,000, according to MoMo’s official statement.
