The rehearsal will involve around 40,000 participants, including military units, civilian organizations and ceremonial groups, and a display of military equipment and vehicles.
International military delegations from Russia, Laos, and Cambodia will also take part in the rehearsal.
As part of the evening's program, 15 ceremonial 105mm cannons will be fired near the My Dinh Stadium area.
The staging for military and police units will begin along key streets and venues, including Phan Dinh Phung, Hoang Hoa Tham, Bach Thao Park, and Quan Thanh Street, while military vehicles will assemble at Hung Vuon-Phan Dinh Phung Intersection, near Thanh Nien and Nghi Tam Streets.
After passing the grandstand at Ba Dinh Square, parade units will disperse along multiple streets.
In particular, half of the military and police marching units will move along Tran Phu, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, and Van Cao Streets toward Quan Ngua Stadium.
The ceremonial groups and part of the marching contingent will proceed via Nguyen Thai Hoc, Trang Thi, and Trang Tien Streets toward Cach Mang Thang Tam Square and the Hanoi Opera House.
Another police contingent will head down Nguyen Thai Hoc Street toward Thong Nhat Park.
Tanks and tracked vehicles will return to the command headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, while all wheeled military vehicles will move to the F1 racing track area in My Dinh.

Security tightened, streets closed ahead of rehearsal
In preparation, the special operations regiment under the Ministry of Public Security’s Security Guard Command has coordinated with relevant units from the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security, and mobile police and police in Hanoi to survey and secure key parade and celebration sites.
Security has been organized into multiple layers, with elite forces stationed across vital points to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
To support these efforts and reduce traffic congestion, a major traffic redirection plan will be implemented from 12:30 pm on Sunday until 2:00 am on Monday, starting 4.5 hours earlier than previously announced.

Security is tightened along streets used for the parade rehearsal.
From 12:30 pm on Sunday to 2:00 am on Monday, all vehicles are banned from entering such streets as Hoang Hoa Tham, Thuy Khue, Mai Xuan Thuong, Quan Thanh, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, Bac Son, Ton That Dam, Nguyen Canh Chan, Hoang Dieu, Cua Bac, and Yen Phu.
Additional routes will be partially closed from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm and fully closed from 4:30 pm on Sunday to 2:00 am on Monday, depending on operational needs.
These include Thanh Nien, Dien Bien Phu, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Le Hong Phong, Ich Khiem, Ngoc Ha, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Chu Van An, Ton Duc Thang, Cat Linh, Trinh Hoai Duc, Hang Chao, Tran Phu, Son Tay, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Nghi Tam, Doi Can, Doc La Pho, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong, Trang Thi, Hang khay, Trang Tien, and many others throughout central Hanoi.
According to the national weather center, cloudy skies with occasional showers and thunderstorms are expected in Hanoi on Sunday.
Gusty winds, lightning, and sudden squalls are possible during thunderstorms.
