The former Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC player shared the moment on his personal vlog, showing an emotional reaction after receiving the news.
He had been participating in pre-season training and recently featured in the Thien Long Tournament, a friendly competition used by clubs to evaluate players.
Kim previously played for Hoang Anh Gia Lai during the 2021 season before returning to South Korea to join Busan IPark.

He later completed mandatory military service and had not appeared in official matches for nearly two years, according to public statistics.
Da Nang FC’s president described Kim as well-suited to the team’s playing style and leadership approach.
Following the signing, Kim informed his family and said the contract would provide financial support for his household in South Korea.
V.League 1, Vietnam’s top-tier professional football league with 14 clubs, will begin its new season next month.
Da Nang FC finished second-to-last in the previous season, while Nam Dinh FC won the championship.
