According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, northern and north-central provinces will possibly experience showers and thunderstorms in some areas, with potential heavy rain in the northwest and northeast in the afternoon.

The remaining parts of the country are forecast to be sunny during the day, with isolated rain in the evening.

In the south, scorching heat may persist, with widespread high temperatures ranging from 35 degrees Celsius to over 36 degrees Celsius and humidity levels between 50 and 55 percent.

The actual temperature felt outdoors could be 2-4 degrees Celsius higher, especially in areas with heat-retaining surfaces like concrete or asphalt.

The public, especially parade participants, security forces, and spectators, are encouraged to stay hydrated and take precautions against heatstroke and exhaustion due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures during Reunification Day events.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the liberation of southern Vietnam and Reunification Day on April 30, a series of events are scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City, including a grand military parade, a drone light show, fireworks displays, street festivities, and others.

As for maritime conditions, the offshore areas from south-central Binh Thuan Province to the southernmost province of Ca Mau, and parts of the East Vietnam Sea, including Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, could experience thunderstorms.

The national weather center also highlighted a risk of whirlwinds and gusts reaching 39-61kph, posing a danger to vessels due to potential strong winds, sudden gusts, and large waves.
