At 7:00 am, the storm’s eye was centered over the waters east of the Philippines, with the maximum sustained winds increasing by two levels since 7:00 pm on Wednesday.

Bualoi is expected to move west-northwest at some 20 km/h on Thursday and Friday, potentially gaining strength.

By 7:00 am on Friday, the storm’s center is forecast to be near the eastern coast of the central Philippines, with intensity reaching level 13 (134-149 kph) and gusts up to level 16.

The storm might enter the East Vietnam Sea on Friday night, becoming the 10th to hit the maritime region in 2025.

At 7:00 am on Saturday, Bualoi is expected to be spotted in the central East Vietnam Sea, with strong winds of level 12 and gusts up to level 15.

The storm will then accelerate west-northwest at roughly 25 km/h toward Vietnam's Hoang Sa (Paracel) Special Zone, with potential for further intensification.

At 7:00 am on Sunday, the storm’s center is projected to be south of the Hoang Sa Special Zone, with strength reaching levels 12-13 and gusts of level 16.

In the next 72 to 120 hours, Bualoi is forecast to continue moving quickly west-northwest to northwest, heading toward the southern Gulf of Tonkin and north-central Vietnam, possibly intensifying further.

Due to Bualoi’s influence, starting from Friday evening, the eastern sea areas of the northern and central East Vietnam Sea will experience winds of levels 6-7, with winds near the storm’s center reaching levels 10-12.

Rough sea waves might pose serious danger to maritime vessels operating in the affected coastal areas.

Super typhoon Ragasa might weaken to tropical depression

Super typhoon Ragasa, the ninth to hit the East Vietnam Sea this year, was located some 100 kilometers east of Mong Cai in Quang Ninh Province at 7:00 am on Thursday, with sustained winds at level 8 (62-74 kph) and gusts at level 10, a decrease of four levels since last night.

Ragasa will move westward at about 20 km/h over the next six hours, gradually weakening into a tropical depression.

By 1:00 pm, the tropical depression is expected to make landfall in Quang Ninh, before weakening into a low-pressure area over northeast Vietnam.

The storm is bringing heavy rain to the northern region and several localities in north-central Vietnam, with precipitation ranging from 100 to 200 mm.
