The first 2026 course, which began on Monday, has attracted 110 learners, including students, professional workers, lecturers, and staff of Dong A University.
The course offers beginner classes for those with no prior Korean knowledge and intermediate classes for learners with a foundation in the language.
Classes are held in person at the Da Nang-based Dong A University over nearly four months, from August 17 to December 2.

Students use textbooks provided by the Korean Language Education Center in Ho Chi Minh City and certified by South Korea’s Ministry of Education.
The teaching team consists of instructors with at least master’s degrees, including those who have studied in South Korea and have expertise in Korean language teaching.

A representative of the Korean Language Education Center said the free course is open to various groups across the city, enabling residents to learn Korean in person without having to travel elsewhere.
Nguyen My Trang, a communications specialist who has long been interested in Korean, signed up for the beginner class and attends it after work.
“The course gives me an opportunity to learn another language, broaden my future opportunities and experiences, and connect with people who love Korean as well as the Korean community in Da Nang,” Trang said.
