The ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, will also be attended by Lawrence Glick, executive vice-president for management and development at the Trump Organization.

This information was provided to Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper by Dang Thanh Tam, chairman of Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation, the parent company of Hung Yen Investment and Development Group JSC, which proposed the project and has formed a consortium with the Trump Organization to develop it.

Located on 990 hectares of land in Hung Yen's Khoai Chau District, the project has a total investment of VND39,787 billion ($1.53 billion) and is divided into main subzones.

Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025 and be completed by the second quarter of 2029, with an operational period of 50 years.

IDG Capital is one of the two U.S. investment funds chosen by the Trump Organization to carry out the development, which is said to meet its highest global standards.

Earlier in March, Charles James Boyd Bowman, director of the Trump International Hung Yen project and CEO of IDG Capital Vietnam, which represents the Trump Organization in the project, presented it to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at a meeting in Hanoi.

The prime minister expressed strong support for the project, and Bowman conveyed his intention to complete it by March 2027, in time to serve APEC 2027, which will be hosted by Vietnam.

After the groundbreaking ceremony, the Trump Organization delegation will proceed to Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday to explore investment cooperation opportunities.

These leaders also proposed that the organization consider building a Trump Tower in the southern metropolis

Earlier on Monday, Bowman arrived in the city for a working visit, during which he, deputy chairman of the municipal administration Vo Van Hoan, and other officials conducted a field survey of several locations in the city.
