According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, around six to eight storms and tropical depressions will possibly form in the East Vietnam Sea during this period, with approximately two to three directly affecting the country.

These weather systems, along with the southwest monsoon, may bring strong winds and high waves, posing risks to maritime activities.

When making landfall, storms may cause significant damage to lives and property.

Authorities have urged localities to prepare early and proactively respond to potential disasters.

Thunderstorms, whirlwinds, lightning, and hail are also forecast to continue nationwide.

Heavy rain is expected across the Southeast Asian country, particularly in the north during August and September, and in central provinces during September and October.

Heatwaves will likely persist until the end of August, especially in the northern region, Thanh Hoa to Hue, and along the south-central coast, before gradually easing in September.

Notably, cold air fronts are predicted to emerge from October and gradually intensify in the following months.

Total rainfall between September and October is projected to be 10-30 percent higher than the long-term average in areas such as northeastern coastal provinces and from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai.

The southern and Central Highlands regions will remain in the rainy season, characterized by sunny mornings and rainy afternoons.

From August to October, rainfall in these areas may reach nearly 1,000mm.
